Why was our program created?

Over the past few years we have noticed that the percentage of inmates that are released tend to find their way back into the system. Nearly 52% of released prisoners find their way back to prison, which is a percentage that is one we don't like to see here at Career Premier. We would like to lower that percentage to go under 52% so that we don't just punish the inmates for their crimes, but we teach them how to be better human beings. Our program wants to be able to lower the percentage of 35% making up of rearrested prisoners to go down.

Understanding that when one is ready to depart from jail finding a job is not that easy, with the job market at a decline over the past few years trying to find a job is not as simple as it had been before. We believe that by allowing those who are awaiting departure from jail should have an opportunity to build the skills they need to allow them to function in society and work as an average citizen. With that idea we believe that building a resume is the first start to building their career which results in keeping them off the streets doing harm to the community. By benefiting them we benefit ourselves. We have created a program to help them build not only their education skills but to also allow them to learn the ways of proper communication skills. These two skills go together properly in order to help these inmates find a better life outside of a jail cell.
